Title deeds roadshow assists Victoria Mxenge residents
26 July 2023
The City’s Human Settlements’ Title Deeds Roadshow has been making its way across Khayelitsha over recent months. Today, 26 July 2023, City officials assisted a number of Victoria Mxenge residents with the title deeds to their homes.
The City continues to assist residents with their title deeds across the metro and we encourage more residents to visit a Title Deeds roadshow event when it reaches their area.
'The City's Human Settlements teams have done tremendous work by assisting hundreds of residents in a number of areas in Khayelitsha. The City visited Mandela Park, Kuyasa, Makhaza, Nonkqubela and Silver Town where we assisted historic beneficiaries and residents of newer RDP projects with their title deeds from the City.
'Security of tenure is a City priority and we will continue providing title deeds and thus empowering many more qualifying residents. We look forward to the next chapter, where we will be assisting residents in more areas of the metro. The City will keep all eligible residents updated with further information about when we'll be reaching their area. Residents are urged to contact officials in the Human Settlements' Directorate for more information and assistance,' said Alderman James Vos, Acting Mayoral Committee Member for Human Settlements.
